The gallery building was built with the purpose of the preservation and presentation of the art work donated by artist Ľudovít Fulla to the Czechoslovak state. Visitors can also visit the artist's studio and residential spaces. Exhibitions of art works and public cultural or educational events are organized here yearly.

Slow Down with Slow Art Day 2021

Ľudovít Fulla Gallery has joined the international event Slow Art Day, the principle of which is an inclusive perception of one selected artwork. Look at art different way with Fulla and his painting Dream at the Shieling.

Permanent exposition

Fulla’s tomb, located in the cemetery in Ružomberok and designed by Martin Kusý, is also under the administration of the Slovak National Gallery. Fulla himself designed the interior mosaics and Ernest Zmeták designed and created the mosaic on the floor.
