In the second part of the cycle MORE OF FULLA, with the subtitle TO GLASS, we present six young glass artists, currently students of the Studio of Glass at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, who drew their inspiration from the work of this artist during the spring workshop[Z1] in Ľudovít Fulla Gallery in Ružomberok.
The exhibition is an outcome of yet another activity in the school studio and the Lednické Rovne glass factory. It shows not only how the future artists literally melted down the inspirations by Fulla's paintings, graphics, or illustration works into a completely different material with changed characteristics, but it also proves that Fulla's work can still be incentive.
The project was joined by students from several years: Pavol Barkóci, Igor Kováč, Kristína Ligačová, Alexandra Lukáčová, Petra Molnárová (all from Slovakia), and Anna Ilina (from Russia), as well as by the school pedagogue, glass artist Palo Macho, who is presenting a selection from his author's dialogue with Fulla.
The project has been carried out in cooperation with the Society of Koloman Sokol and supported from public sources by the Slovak Arts Council.
